What this website collects
Very little. There are no visitor accounts, contact forms, advertising or tracking cookies on this website, and we do not run analytics that identify you.
- Your theme choice (light or dark) is remembered in your own browser only. It never reaches us.
- Our hosting provider processes standard technical data (such as IP address and browser type) to deliver pages and protect the site from abuse. This is kept only as long as needed for security.
Things that load only when you ask
Some features come from other companies. We keep them switched off until you choose to use them:
- Sermon videos are hosted on YouTube. Nothing from YouTube loads until you press play; we then use YouTube’s privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com). YouTube’s own privacy policy applies from that point.
- The map on the Visit page is provided by Google Maps and loads only when you press “Show the map”. Google’s privacy policy then applies.
- WhatsApp, phone and email links open your own apps. Whatever you send us is handled by the church office to answer you, and not shared or used for marketing.
Church staff accounts
A small number of church leaders sign in to update the website’s text, photos, events, posters and sermons. For them we store an email address, name and sign-in security records (including a log of which changes they made) with our database provider, Supabase. This is used only to run and secure the website, and is deleted when a person no longer needs access.
Where data is stored
The website and its database are run by international cloud providers, so information may be processed outside Zimbabwe. We choose providers with strong security and data-protection commitments.
Your rights
You may ask to see, correct or delete personal information we hold about you. Write to livinghopetabernacle@gmail.com and we will respond within 30 days. You may also contact the Data Protection Authority (POTRAZ).
